About the Abraham Accords Open Innovation Challenge
The Abraham Accords Open Innovation Challenge is a competition among teams of students who have a passion to design, engineer, and create technological solutions that help others. Students will compete to create affordable, open-source solutions designed to address challenges people with disabilities are facing in their daily lives. Students have the option to compete with new projects or submit existing solutions they previously developed.
The AAOIC is open to students from countries that signed the Abraham Accords - United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, Kosovo, Israel, and the US - as well as from other countries in the Middle East and around the world.
Three Grand Prize winners will each receive a $3000 money prize and an opportunity to showcase their winning solutions at the Expo 2020 Dubai
We will fly a representative from each of the winning teams to the AAOIC celebration event in March where they will present their winning creations in front of an audience of global business leaders, decision-makers, international media, and invited guests.
Teams will also be competing for prizes in specific areas:
Best inclusive design
Best accessible design
Each category winner will receive a $1,000 prize.
An additional $3,000 will be awarded to teams at the discretion of TOM Global and the panel of judges.
